UN Procurement Awards 2023 Shortlists Announced


The UN Procurement Awards, an initiative coordinated by a cross-agency Project Team within the High-Level Committee on Management’s Procurement Network’s (HLCM-PN) Professional Development working group, have expanded to two award categories for 2023 – Sustainable Procurement and Supply and Collaborative Procurement.

The Sustainable Procurement and Supply award category rewards procurement and supply chain initiatives that are compatible and in favour of the protection of the environment, of social progress and in support of economic development. It recognizes successful and value-adding Sustainable Procurement and Supply projects.

The Collaborative Procurement award category rewards UN organizations that combine their efforts to undertake procurement in cooperation or share the outcome of a procurement process, achieving better service through economies of scale and reducing inefficiency and duplication across the UN organizations.

In the Sustainable Procurement and Supply category, five teams from across the UN system made the shortlist for the award:

The award winners during the next HLCM Procurement Network meeting in Montreal from 10-12 October 2023. This will be a live broadcast, open for everyone to watch. It is not possible to attend this in-person. The link to watch the broadcast will be available closer to the date.
